It’s time to stop playing games with your faith. Too often, we want the benefits of a deep relationship with God while clinging to the comfort of shallow living. We say we love God, but our actions often tell a different story. One foot in the church, one foot in the world—it’s a dance that keeps us from experiencing the fullness of God’s presence.
Here’s the truth: God isn’t content being part of your life. He wants to be your life. He’s not okay with half-hearted devotion. Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters” (Matthew 6:24). Yet many of us try. We rebuke the devil on Sunday but leave the door open for him the rest of the week.
God wants all of you—your heart, your mind, your soul. He’s not asking for perfection, but for surrender. Sin, no matter how small, contaminates your relationship with God. It’s time to let go of whatever is holding you back and dive into the deep end of faith, where transformation happens.
What is God calling you to surrender? Whatever it is, it’s time to leave it behind. Stop settling for less than what God has for you. Stop living halfway. The abundant life you’ve been longing for starts with one decision: to go all in with Jesus.
Revelation 3:15-16 (NIV):
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth."
1. Is there an area of your life where you’re keeping one foot in the world and one foot in your faith?
2. What sin, habit, or comfort are you holding onto that’s keeping you from fully committing to God?
3. How would your life change if you surrendered that area to Him today?
4. How can you take practical steps this week to go deeper in your faith and walk more closely with God?
Reflect and Write:
Praise: Thank God for loving you unconditionally, even when your devotion has been half-hearted.
Confess: Be honest with God about the areas in your life where you’ve been lukewarm. Name the specific habits or sins you need to surrender.
Ask: Pray for strength and courage to leave behind what’s holding you back and to step boldly into the life God is calling you to live.
Lord, I hear Your call to leave behind the things that are keeping me from You. I want to go deeper, to live a life fully committed to You. Help me surrender what’s holding me back. Transform my heart and renew my mind so I can live for You every day. Thank You for Your grace, which meets me where I am but doesn’t leave me there. I’m ready to take the next step. Amen.
